PENGUATAN IDENTITAS DIRI REMAJA DALAM MENGHADAPI MASYARAKAT EKONOMI ASEAN

(Studi pada Siswa SMK Taruna Harapan 2 Cipada, Bandung Barat)

Abstract

The Southeast Asian region has undergone a tremendous transformation with the formation of the ASEAN Economic Community. Its impact is not only felt in the economic sector, but also affects various aspects of social life, including individual identity among teenagers. It is important for teenagers to build a strong identity and self-identity. They need to have a clear understanding of who they are, what values ​​they hold, and their aspirations and goals in life. The purpose of this study is to find out how to form a strengthening of adolescent self-identity in students of SMK Taruna Harapan 2 Cipada West Bandung in facing the MEA. The research method used is descriptive qualitative field research, in the form of community service carried out in the form of a seminar, namely socialization through material presentation. The results of the service provide information that the process of forming a strengthening of self-identity in adolescent students is carried out in several stages, starting from input, output in the form of feedback in understanding the importance of self-identity in facing the MEA, to the outcome, namely students are able to determine choices and make decisions to have skills in facing competition in the world of work. So understanding the importance of self-identity and the MEA, students who will graduate from school can prepare themselves to face challenges and take advantage of opportunities in building careers and lives in the future.
