Peer Review Process

Peer Review:

Peer review assists editors in making editorial decisions through the editorial communication with authors. When there is a correction, the author will improve the manuscript. Manuscripts submitted online to Journal Pelita Nusa (JPN) will be checked by the editorial board for scope, style, and plagiarism. Manuscripts that meet the focus and scope requirements of Journal Pelita Nusa (JPN) will proceed to the review process by reviewers with double-blind commitment.

Reviewers are bestiary partners who come from experts according to their respective scientific clusters and have a concern for the journal field. The editor will send an email to the selected reviewers regarding the title and content of the manuscript, as well as an invitation to log in to the journal website to complete the review process. Reviewers log in to the journal website to approve the review, download the manuscript, submit comments, and select recommendations.

The review process by reviewers takes at least two weeks. The results will be returned to the author for follow-up. Eligible manuscripts will be published in either Bahasa Indonesia or English.

Timeliness

Any selected Authors' manuscripts that are deemed ineligible for further review, will be returned or notified to the editor and conveyed to the Authors that after the review they cannot proceed to publication.

Confidentiality

Any manuscript received for review should be treated as a confidential document. It should not be shown or discussed with anyone else unless authorized by the editor.

Objectivity Standard

Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate. Reviewers should express their views clearly and with logical arguments.

Acknowledgment of Sources

Reviewers should identify relevant publications not cited by the authors. Any assertion that a finding, derivation, or argument has been previously reported should be accompanied by an appropriate citation. Reviewers should also inform the editor of any significant similarities or overlaps between the manuscript in question and other published manuscripts of which they are personally aware.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

Privileged information and ideas obtained through peer review should be kept confidential and not used for personal gain. Reviewers should not assume that there is a conflict of interest in the manuscript arising from competition, cooperation, or other affiliation with authors, companies, or institutions associated with the manuscript.
